On Wednesday 20th March 2024, we were invited to the University of Leeds School of Mechanical Engineering Poster Showcase event, where the 3rd and 4th year students presented their final year project work.
It was a great opportunity to visit the campus and hear about the innovative work the talented students have done to start to address some of the key issues facing industry in the areas of aerospace, automotive, mechanical, medical and robotic engineering.
A group of students chose to join our MaltaHip Innovate UK Smart Award R&D Project that is being run in collaboration with the University as their final year project. They produced a fantastic poster exploring how initial reaming of the acetabulum cavity can be optimised to minimise cup deformation and maximise performance in terms off friction.
